WCS provides the U.S. nuclear industry with the nation’s safest, most comprehensive and cost-effective treatment, storage and disposal options for radioactive wastes. Owned by the State of Texas, the state-of-the-art Compact Waste Facility (CWF) provides disposal services for Texas Compact radioactive waste generators as well as Out of Compact generators in 34 other states. WCS has a fleet of Type A and Type B shipping casks to transport LLRW to the CWF and a cost-effective disposal option for Low Activity Waste (LAW) that exhibits up to ~10% of the Class A activity limits at our RCRA disposal facility.
